How To - Email Templates

The Email Templates option allows you to manage the email templates that are used on your site. If Email Templates are enabled at head office, you can modify the default templates to suit your business.

The default templates are displayed in the grid and, if enabled, site users can Edit each template, Override each template or Revert to the default reservation template.

Override / Edit Template

Site users can edit any booking reminder templates in the Email Templates grid. To modify a default template, you must select Override.

When you subsequently return to edit the template you have the option to Edit the template or Revert back to the default. The fields on the ‘Override (Template name) Template’ and’ Edit Override (Template name) Template’ windows are identical.

Edit any of the fields as required.

If you want to enter dynamic text into the email template, place the cursor in the email at the appropriate point, select one of the options from the Insert Dynamic Text drop-down list and select Insert.

To review your email template, enter your email address in the Send Test Email box and select Send Email.

Select Submit when you are happy with the design of the email template to save your changes and return to the Email Templates window.

Managing Email Settings

Email settings are always displayed, regardless of whether Email Templates are enabled for your site.

When Email Templates are enabled, the settings section is displayed beneath the Email Templates grid. When not enabled, only the Settings are displayed.

The Settings allow you to define the email address from which all Tables emails will be sent, if no From email is defined in the email template.

Enter the required email address, and select Save to record your changes
